Östers IF bounced back from a tough spell with an important 3-1 away win against IFK Varnamo in Superettan round 24. The victory, sealed by two late goals, halted a run of two consecutive defeats.

Filip Olsson put Öster ahead in the 25th minute following an assist from Matias Tamminen. Varnamo equalised through Viktor Claesson on 67 minutes, but the response was immediate. Hannes Bladh Pijaca made it 2-1 just five minutes later, set up by Keyano Marrah. Before the home fans had settled, substitute Noah Söderberg struck the decisive 3-1 goal in the 76th minute.

Manager D. Friberg's side showed mental resilience after conceding the equaliser. The team managed only five shots on target compared to Varnamo's ten, but were clinical in attack. Recent form has been mixed with two wins, one draw and two losses from the last five outings. This win is a significant step forward.
