Östers IF must be much more alert from the start if they are to succeed in taking points away from Öster. Down in Skåne, Öster would make a statement by dominating Helsingborg and thus starting the upswing again. The result was the opposite. Back in the cold and hard reality of superettan, Öster was beaten 4-1 and had to take the bus back to Växjö and think about their mistakes. Against Helsingborg, Max Mölder saw his team concede goals in all possible ways, so there is something to think about for the former Landskrona coach. The only bright spot for Öster was that Oscar Uddenäs scored a goal, but that was not enough for the Smålanders in the premiere. We have seen before that Öster concedes a few goals, as we did in the Swedish Cup when we met in the first group stage and when it was a group final, they conceded seven and scored zero. Now it's a SM-guldkandidat who scored seven on them, but still, Östers defense is not watertight. Therefore, it's natural to assume that Öster will focus on defense, as they should have enough cannons up front to win matches. For example, these three players: #10 Oscar Uddenäs is the catalyst in Östers attack and a quality guarantee in the team. #7 Christian Kouakou is a proven striker in superettan since earlier. #23 Samuel Burakowsky is also a proven striker at this level. A good level, many talk about a draw being good enough for ÖSK in this match, and I can agree with that, with the addition that the performance over two halves should be even or better than the previous match. For as unplayed as we were against Landskrona, we should not have to be again. Absolutely, Öster gets to hold the ball more than us, but they should not look like the Spanish national team at the 2010 World Cup. If they do, we should look like the Netherlands at the same World Cup, check out De Jong's "tackling" on Xabi Alonso in the final to understand what I mean. If we are to come up to a good level, the midfield and the team as a whole must get a better grip on the opponents, at least they slipped through every crack, hole, and corridor. It was like Landskrona was greased with baby oil, which they might have been, my view is not the best. So, let's put on the grip gloves, ÖSK. Or if we are to be more tactical; give a little punch and chase as a team, not as individuals. A big reason why we played up in the second half was that Söderström came in on the middle and offered his quiet, hard play, which last season resulted in 42 yellow cards, type. Now, Söderström may have become a bit more polished, and I see in him a character player who I think ÖSK will have use of in the future for those who do not grow on trees. For every tenth slender, ball-skilled midfielder with feet made of the finest porcelain, there is a hard destroyer like Söderström hewn from granite, and we must take care of them. In addition, we need to become a bit sharper forward and one like Yasin and Wikman can both improve their performances. The former was probably rusty when he had been out of the team for a long time and did not play much until the premiere, so it's not unusual that he is a bit out of sync with the rest.
