Östers IF lost to IFK Norrköping with 2-0 at Idrottsparken. It was Östers IF's third loss in four matches. The visitors could have scored many more goals against Öster, but it was only 2-0. Both goals came in the first half. Tim Prica elegantly scored 1-0 and Elias Jemal volleyed in 2-0 when Öster failed to clear the ball from their own penalty area. – We come out and do what we've talked about. We go high, we win duels and come with power. It feels like we're gnawing them right now, says Prica to TV4. Östers IF's striker Linus Carlstrand thinks that his team played IFK Norrköping in their hands. – We play as Norrköping wants us to play. They can win the ball high up and get energy from the crowd, says Carlstrand to TV4. Östers IF lost for the third time in four matches and did it without head coach Max Mölder on the bench. He is removed from the team, but Östers club management does not want to reveal if he has been fired. After the previous match (1–4 against Ljungskile) Mölder scolded his players along the shinbones and a few days later it was announced that the assistant coach Daniel Friberg would lead the team instead. Friberg has worked with the players as head coach for two days and praised them despite the loss. – I'm incredibly proud of the boys, how they've taken themselves through these two days and the match. If we can have the behavior and a bit more sharpness and courage with the ball, it will be good, says Friberg to Smålandsposten. IFK Norrköping's three points mean that the team moves up to fifth place in the Superettan table.
