Östers IF lånar Kalipha Jawla

Östers IF has confirmed that Kalipha Jawla, who is 20 years old, will be joining the club on loan from Djurgårdens IF until the end of the season. The move marks a new chapter for the young forward after spending time with Utsiktens BK and Nordic United FC.

Jawla's breakthrough came during the autumn of last year when he was on loan at Utsiktens BK in Superettan, making his mark as an attacking player. This season, he has scored eight goals and provided one assist in 13 appearances for Djurgårdens IF.

Östers IF's sport director Ola Larsson highlighted Jawla's unique qualities:

  • 'Kalipha is a premium player at this level, and his performance was evident when he scored a hat-trick against us earlier this year.'

Larsson added that the forward has a broad range of skills in his game and believes Jawla will fit well into their squad.

Jawla himself expressed excitement about joining Östers IF:

  • 'It feels great to be here. As soon as I heard about Östers' interest, it sounded exciting, and it feels like there are good things happening here.'

Djurgårdens IF's Perspective

Djurgårdens IF's football director Maximilian Hahn also commented on the loan move:

  • 'This transfer provides him with a stable environment where he can focus on showcasing his quality as a football player, while also allowing for development both on and off the pitch.'

Jawla has scored eight goals and provided one assist in 13 appearances in Superettan this season. The move to Östers IF is expected to provide him with more playing time and a chance to further develop his skills.
