IFK Norrköping defeated Östers IF 1-3 away in the Superettan. Elias Jemal scored a goal and provided two assists in a match that cemented the visitors' strong form ahead of promotion.

Jemal opened the scoring in the 29th minute and then set up Ryan Nelson for 2-0 ten minutes later. Öster pulled one back through Matias Tamminen shortly after half-time, but Jemal secured the win with a 3-1 goal in the 82nd minute.

The defeat means Öster, sitting seventh with 36 points, have now lost two consecutive matches. Norrköping, meanwhile, are on an 11-match unbeaten run and lead the table by ten points.

After the match, match-winner Elias Jemal commented on his performance. He said it felt good to contribute to three points, even if it wasn't always the case. He also noted the team had areas to improve. Jemal added that they had let Öster have control for a while at the end and that they had to work a lot defensively.

With five rounds remaining this season, the goal for Öster is to stabilise their form. The next challenge is away to Norby IF on 10 October, a team currently in 14th place. Check the team's current stats and squad ahead of that fixture.
