Östers IF is searching for a new head coach after being relegated from Allsvenskan. The club has been on the hunt for a new coach since October 28, when Expressen revealed that Östers IF was looking for a new coach. Ola Larsson, sports director of Östers IF, has been scouting for new coaching names and Smålandsposten has reported that Max Mölder is one of the main tracks. Now Expressen has learned that Östers' recruitment process has entered a more intense phase. Östers IF met with several coaching candidates in Stockholm on Thursday, including Eldar Abdulic and Max Mölder. Both coaches are currently without a job after leaving Sandviken and Polish Piast Gliwice, respectively. Östers IF recently fell out of Allsvenskan and will play in Superettan next season after losing at home to Djurgården in the final round. Ola Larsson gives his view: – We are moving forward in the process where we have narrowed down the number of coaches. We hope to be able to move forward in that process soon. After that, we expect to reduce the number of candidates. Östers IF has many fine candidates in coach-Norden, which pleases me. Other candidates that Östers IF has met with include Egersunds Endre Eide. Östers IF's search for a new coach continues and it remains to be seen who will become the new head coach.
